I've got a Ryzen 2700 + X470 motherboard, i've enabled IOMMU however whenever I attempt to start a vm I get "KVM virtualisation configured, but not available. Either disable in VM configuration or enable in BIOS."

Any idea why this is happening?

Look in the Bios for AMD-V.

Iommu is only necessary if you want to give VM's Access to PCIe Cards. But it doesn't harm.

Ok, sorry it took so long to repond. Basically the "AMD-V" setting was in a random/obscure place in the BIOS. M.I.T -> Advanced Frequency Settings -> Advanced CPU Core Settings -> SVM Mode

Not sure why they thought placing it in there would be a good idea, but if anyone else is looking it's a Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming motherboard.
