Root size (resize) | Swap memory (resize)

Can I increase the GB size on the root disk? And in swap memory? About linux commands I don't know much, I'm guided by tutorials but I can't find any .... thanks
What I would like to do is the following (I have a 2tb hard drive);
- 200GB root disk
- 8GB memory swap
 
Similar Question, but I see that Zerocrazy might have figured this out on his own.
I have a 4 GB swap, but recently upgraded to 16GB of RAM on the node. Would it be useful, or improve performance, by increasing the Swap volume size?
