I was under the impression (and still am convince) that root@pam has the "administrator" role which is "do anything", yet it would be nice if I could make my VMs autostart in a predefine order.

I'm stuck with restarting VMs manually each time ProxMox is rebooted.

Under the options tab for each VM you can find and options 'Start/Shutdown order' which control the start and shutdown order for a specific VM. Specific order comes before any order.

Thanks for your reply.

That is the thing, I am logged in as root@pam, but when I go to the Options tab of any VM or CT that I create with that user, the Edit button is greyed out.Is there someplace I can manually edit in the database or config files to fix this?

Thanks in advanced.

Edit: I just noticed that I cannot edit anything an any VMs (hardware, ...).

it works! Is this the normal behavior of the GUI?

Addendum: Ah, ok, I see. The edit button will enable itself when you click an item. I was under the impression that the edit button will open a window where you could edit all the options. I guess it is a paradygm imprinted in my brain by the vSphere client. I feel noob, which I am. Thanks for clearing this up for me.
