I was wondering if anyone has tried to use Retrospect Client to perform backups on a proxmox VE server to a retrospect server? What is everyone thoughts on using this? And if you did try/use it what where you results like?

When I tried to install it using the tarball I got the following:

/Install.sh: line 216: /sbin/pidof: No such file or directory
Retrospect Client for Linux started successfully!
If your system uses an rc.local script, you should be able to start
Retrospect Client for Linux automatically by adding the line
'/usr/local/dantz/client/rcl start'. Otherwise, consult your system
documentation for the best method.

However the client is not actually starting.
Take care,
Ben

Proxmox VE is a standard Debian Etch 64-bit system. So if your backup client supports Debian Etch 64-bit this should work, but never tried here.
