Hello,

is it possible to restore individual files from a virtual machine?

Best regards
Bue

Hmm okay but i can't find a tutorial for this tool/solution :(
There is not an easier way, or?

Details:
Virtual test machine: Windows Server 2008

We search a virtualization software and proxmox is very interesting but we need a possibility to restore individual files from a virtual machine. It should not be too complicated. :S

Proxmox VE backup is a always a full backup, for full restore only. If you need individual file restore, you probably need another backup solutions.

Or you unpack the whole archive, but I assume that is not what you want.

Code:
# vma
usage: vma command [command options]

vma list <filename>
vma create <filename> [-c config] <archive> pathname ...
vma extract <filename> [-v] [-r <fifo>] <targetdir>
vma verify <filename> [-v]
