Restore as clone

Hello,

can i restore a backup as clone somehow?

Sometimes i want to test or look something up and it would be great if i cloud restore the Live system as copy/clone/id or something alike without touching the live system.

if you are talking about pve vms/ct, you can do that by restoring the backups from the storage content view, not the vm directly
in the tree:

node -> storage -> backups -> select and restore

there you can give a different vmid

Remember to change not only IP address but also mac address.
