Resilver very slow

Hello

I've a PBS based on a DELL T140, 2 M2 for OS, 4 x HDD Seagate ST8000 8TB . Replaced an HDD with 8 Offline uncorrectable sectors and resilver.
Resilver is very slow: volume is 23TB but data are only 2.5TB. In 4 hours 135 resilvered.



Why is it too slow ?

What ST8000? Something like a ST8000DM004 uses SMR and shouldn't be used with ZFS or any raid or server workload. Write performance of SMR HDDs will drop to a horrible level once the caches got filled up. Especially terrible in case of a resilver where you need to rewrite the wholedisk continously.

background jobs like Verify or Garbage Collect slow down Resilver.
