Hello,
I have removed a proxmox node.
By mistake I forgot to migrate some VMs.
The disks for these machines are on ceph, so I have only lost their .conf.
I have backups so I try to write a xxx.conf (recovered with vma config) in /etc/pve/qemu-server of another node.
Unfortunately even if /etc/pve/qemu-server is writable I cannot write the file xxx.conf if the xxx VM is "existing in gui with unknown state"
Can you help me?
Thanks,
Mario

the config is not lost, you should see the file in /etc/pve/nodes/yourremovednode/...

=> just move (mv) the file to one of the remaining nodes directory and you are done.
