Newly built 1.5 18 clustered with older 1.3 box. Migrated Linux KVM and all seemed to go well. VM wouldn't start with locked message in logs. Restarted but no help. Searched forum and wiki but no clear answer. VM was not absolutely necessary so I physically deleted it and rebooted. VM still shows up in list but not in Storage browser.

How do I remove from list of Virtual Machines?

Thanx,
Garth

What I'm doing is messing around where I shouldn't be. :) That said, after migrating a linux KVM, it wouldn't start stating that it was locked(migration) even tho the migration completed with good results and the VM only showed up on the box it was migrated to. So then I physically deleted the VM from /var.../images but it wouldn't disappear from the list. However, your advice worked just fine and now the VM is no longer listed.

BTW, are there tools to move a KVM VM from one store to another, sort of like migrate but to the same box?

Thanx,
Garth

yes, via backup/restore
(vzdump/qmrestore)

see 'man qmrestore' for all options.
