Hey,
I don't know why, but i have a really slow internet connection speed inside of the kvm.
The host server's speed test:
Code:
Hosted by Tele2 (Frankfurt) [100.73 km]: 7.527 ms
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 880.21 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed..................................................
Upload: 445.37 Mbit/s

The kvm speed test:
Code:
Hosted by Tele2 (Frankfurt) [100.73 km]: 3.748 ms
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 79.98 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed..................................................
Upload: 38.98 Mbit/s
I've tested it multiple times, but its every time the same :(

The client's network interface is: Realtec RTL8139
I've tryed every card, but none of them is performing better :(
Code:

Did you try the test from different KVMs ? Or is it slow only for one VM?
#UPDATE: Vm running debian with virtio adapter(always 300-400mbit): http://www.speedtest.net/result/5108728943.png
vm running Windows with windows e1000(always 100-200mbit) : http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5108725569
The dedicated server speed(down always between 700-800mbit and upload always between 400 and 800): http://www.speedtest.net/result/5108735429.png

which guest os do you run exactly? kernel version?
What do you mean exactly? Where can i get this information in debian 7 64bit?

if you run default wheezy 3.2 kernel, please try the 3.16 kernel from wheezy-backports.

If I remember correctly, there were virtio improvements here.

uname -a 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u3~bpo70+1 (2016-01-19) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Ok, i've upgaded it now. Seems to perform a bit better :)
New problem: Without the upgrade, the server crashed unexpectly without any kind of log. I hope that this error wont occur anymore with that new version. I f not: does anyone why debian crashes with virtio and not with realtec ?
Thank you!
