Hi,

We have a proxmox cluster with 4 nodes, recently, we have noticed that the RAM is higher in the nodes, but there is only one VM in the nodes with less memory usage, while testing, I just tried to disable hotplug memory on the VM and rebooted the same, then I see the node memory usage went to normal, can anyone advice on this?

Thank you.

can you post the config of the vm (when the problem occurs) and the output of 'free' from inside the vm ?

can you post the complete vm config?
on the cli:

Code:
qm config ID

Linux basically try to use your system as best.
"free" show you the real memory used and the amount of ram that can be cleaned faster.

Anyway you can force your pve to clear the ram cache running:
sync; echo 2 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

Please see the below VM config details

agent: 1
boot: c
