Hello,

I just wanna know:

i) is it okay to re-allocate how space is divvied up amongst the swap, root and data logical volumes (in the pve volume group) ?
ii) can i create logical volumes of my own?
iii) i tried creating a vm via the web interface and noticed that the hard disk was in qcow format. How may i specify an lvm logical volume instead - preferably without using the command line?
iv) when you have, say, a 2-node cluster, and the master node goes down, do the virtual machines running on it failover automatically to the other node?

Thanks.

you should go for 1.4beta - see release notes and especially new Storage Model

Thanks.

HA is not implemented yet but we are working on it. in the case you will ask: we do not know when its ready for production use.

Hey Tom,

Thanks for the fast response. The reason I asked question 1 is because I wanted to do what I mentioned in question 3.

Is 1.4beta OK for production use?

As its still a beta its not widely used in production - therefore not that much experience.

But we think is more or less ready to go but its up to you if you wanna use a beta version in production. We expect to release the final 1.4 in October 09.
