Question about Sync and pruning

Hello

Lets say I have a primary backup server, and have pruning + GC configured on it.

Lets also say I have another server that exists only to sync from the primary and that I've enabled "Remove Vanished" - Do I still need to set up prune and gc jobs on the sync server?

that's not true, you definitely need GC, else the snapshot metadata (or even whole group metadata) will be removed (via remove-vanished while syncing, no extra prune job needed), but the chunks will continue to exist and take up space.
