qm set "command not found"

I have been following the instructions to add a physical hdd to a kvm machine from here

when i use the below i get an error.

qm set 1001 -virtio2 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST380815AS_9RW7TYT0
bash: qm: command not found

the qm binary is in /usr/sbin - you need to run the command as root

no worries a quick "sudo" took care of it thanks

I have gotten this error as well and adding sudo to the command line didn't work.
Tried running the command as root...same result.

I think I found the issue.
I was running the command on the VM's terminal, not on the host's shell. When I run it on the shell, I get the following:

The relevant packages seem to be up to date. Are you sure, that you have tried sudo qm ... on your host and not inside the VM?[/icode]
