Hi all,

I just notice this error and wanted to share a solution.

After I have migrated a working kVM from HOST server 1 to HOST server2 the vm won't boot on server2.

Nothing in the syslog other then

qm[594]: VM 101 start
pvedaemon[593]: VM 101 start failed -

But If i start it manually
qm start 101
...
volume 'local:iso/TinyXP-Rev10.iso' does not exist

Ha ha, the cdrom iso that was on my source HOST is not on my second HOST

suggestion: maybe grab this cli error message and put it in syslog or on the wui if possible.

Proxmox is a fantastic peace of technology thanks for sharing it !

Guillaume.

the error is already on the GUI but not on the best place - see Administration/Logs/Tasks.

on the upcoming gui there is a better solution.

Hello Tom,

I just went to see in my task logs I dont see any error ... Anyway I wanted to share so other wont have to sesrch as I did !

Also more precisions on my setup the HOST 1 where the KVM was created was on an older promox release then the current node, maybe it's not related to my problem but wanted to bring this too.

Again thanks for this great software.

for each VMID there is only the last activity, there is no history.

Thanks for making it more visible in 2.

I was just bitten by this again (had deleted cd the vm boots with), and was already grumbling & trying to troubleshoot when I remembered I had seen this before.
