I'm having boot issues with a FreeBSD VM (OPNsense). It fails booting with the error message "Root mount waiting for: CAM".
Anyone an idea how to fix this (other than reverting to the previous working QEMU version, 7.1.0-4 in my case)?
If you need more information for investigating this let me know.
The recently released newer package version 7.2.0-7 of pve-qemu-kvm seems to have solved the boot error b/c it vanished on the VM in question (which it had with ver. 7.2.0-5).

The regressions mentioned earlier in this thread, with the MegaSAS and with the LSI SCSI controllers were fixed in pve-qemu-kvm=7.2.0-7. So maybe your issue was one of those (you never posted your VM config )?
Interesting, after this update, overall feeling is that things are snappier, smoother within the VMs. Like it was before 7.2.0-5. Particularly Web based UIs.

Sorry for not replying to your initial post when you tried to help me. Back then, I didn't get a notification via mail and hence only checked the forum upon reporting the good news with the newer pve-qemu-kvm version.
On the subject: Indeed, I'm using the LSI controller (LSI 53C895A) for that VM. All good new.
Thank you for your help and the quick closing of the issue.
