[SOLVED] PVE loses connection to PBS when enabling 2FA in PBS

Hi, I already used 2FA in PVE. Recently installed PBS, set the whole thing up and took backup of each VM. Then while tinkering with the settings I enabled 2FA for PBS, at which point PVE loses connection to it. I thought the join fingerprint changed when enabling 2FA or something, but that stayed the same. After disabling 2FA in PBS PVE immediately reconnects.

Is there something I need to do in different way to connect to PBS with 2FA enabled? Thanks!

PVE needs non-interactive access to PBS, so 2FA can't work. you can replace the username / password with an API token generated on the PBS side. you need to give permission to access datastores etc. to the token in addition to the owning user.
