Hi all,

after upgrading to pve-kernel 5.0.21-5-pve reboot/shutdown not working correctly.

cli (via ssh) -> shutdown/reboot ends in state where the system should either poweroff or reboot, but nothing happens, only hard reset possible. The state describes as blank monitor without signal, no disk usage, only fans spinning.
Loading pve-kernel-5.0.15-1-pve via grub menu -> everything works without problems. Same behaviour with fresh proxmox install only upgraded to latest.

Hardware:
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 (Bios 3029)
AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition 1090T

Thanks for your help.

Update 1: Tracked the issue down to the graphics card MSI R5770 Hawk. Removed the card, kernel 5.0.21-5 works, now using onboard HD4290 GPU. (Yes, I am aware R5770 is overkill for the system)

Hi,

Can you test WOL on your ASUS MB ?

Me and some other users are having a problem with WOL with Realtek NIC.

See this Forum message.

Thank you so much for your attention.

Regards,

Ricardo Jorge

Thanks Ricardo for your input.

Tested WOL with the ASUS/Realtek NIC, no success. I use a PCI adapater as well for link aggregation, WOL works on this one (for testing, no bonding used)
