Hi,

I have some troubles with my PVE cluster configuration (3 nodes on proxmox v2.1). When I want to migrate a VM from one node to an other the migration works fine, the vm migrate with a success status, but during the migration I lose the connexion with the vm during from 10 to 30 seconds.
How can I fix this problem ?

For the record my vm's are store on a nfs server.

Thx

It doesn't seems like a tcp failure but during the migration the vm are not accessible neither ssh or TSE, and the ping shows network unreachable message.

Here the log coming from the proxmox interface :

Jul 26 10:46:54 starting migration of VM 115 to node 'NODE2' (192.168.1.1)

Jul 26 10:46:54 copying disk images
Jul 26 10:46:54 starting VM 115 on remote node 'NODE2'
Jul 26 10:46:55 starting migration tunnel
Jul 26 10:46:55 starting online/live migration on port 60000
Jul 26 10:47:24 migration status: completed
Jul 26 10:47:24 migration speed: 52.97 MB/s
Jul 26 10:47:27 migration finished successfuly (duration 00:00:33)
TASK OK

My VM are kind of KVM, I doesn't use OpenVZ.
Do you have any idea where the problem come from ?

Thanks.

a short freeze is normal and expected. you can set this freeze time to zero but then, the VM migration can probably never finish due to activity inside the VM.

if you want shorter freeze, use faster network.

Thanks for your quick answer.

I have just one last question, where can I configure this freeze time ?
