ProxmoxVE: Virtual IP for the GUI

Is there an Option or configuration to make the GUI not only pointing to <your-ip-address>:8006 but to <your-Virtual-IP>:8006 if more then one node is in the Cluster. Or should I setup KeepAlived and HA-Proxy on each Proxmox Server too to do that.

Because what I want to do is that if one of the Server dies or is unreachable for some reason I still want to have access to the web UI and so I don't need to remember all the IP's of the Servers or have to switch the browser window.

You can use haproxy with a frontend IP and redirect in backend to all your nodes in cluster.

But keep in mind that you can't do everything from each webUI. Sometimes you need to pick the IP for the correct webUI of the node you want to edit.

Really? What can only be done on the WebUI of the node itself? I cannot think of anything.

I don't know for haproxy, but for traefik you also need sticky cookies, so that you will always be redirected to the same node after you logged in. Otherwise, you will be redirected to another node and have to login again (can be very tedious on large clusters)

Don't remember what it exactly was. There are some threads here where people were running a cluster and it was important to login to the webUI of a specific node as managing the node from another nodes webUI wasn't working.
