Proxmox VE Video Tutorials

This is a great idea! One suggestion: A short explanation of the benefits a particular feature would provide. For instance, on the network examples (bridge and bond) what would a user gain by creating a bonded interface or another bridge? What benefit does that provide?

Thanks, good idea.

Note: The wiki is open for everybody, so if you have some time feel free to add documentation.

You can use tools like Camtasia Studio.

what did you use to create the tutorials?
have a few we could add - and make for you.

Thusfar I had been using WINK - however need a MAC version :-( since I converted to the bright side...

we used http://camstudio.org/ (GPL) for doing the capturing and the commercial camtasia to convert to mp4. the commercial solution crashed always on my vista pc, so I needed to go for the GPL product.

Very good ideea! But, after we make a tutorial, how we can publish?

Thanks for these

-Starts working on my tutorials- XD

yeah how about a tutorial on how to install it remotely on a dedicated server .... nobody seems to be able figure that out ..... all the respones i get so far is ... not gonna happen .... does not look good ... is there ???

I am following the tutorial but when I try to install it I get the following error:

Failed to fetch http://download.proxmox.com/debian/dists/lenny/Release Unable to find expected entry pve/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)

E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Do you try to install Proxmox VE on a i386 Lenny?

Thank you for the video. However the steps after successful installation are not clear. In my case I get to a Linux prompt. My goal is to install either Fedora with KVM or Ubuntu with KVM. Do I just plug in the DVD and go? In addition, on the console i keep getting constant junk about USB Keyboard and mouse (not just stop at root prompt). When I hit return on keyboard I get the prompt back. Instructions say go to the Web browser. But I don't have graphical interface?

So I request you to please give details on how you got from install of PVE to installing VMware. Also the audio seems to trail off sometimes. I hope it can be louder. It is clear when the volume is reasonable and not trailing off.

Thanks

I realize that but nopt sure how I get from command prompt to invoke the browser.
Hi,
administration from the gui is done with an webbrowser (e.g. firefox) from a second computer with GUI, like Gnome, KDE, whatever (windows should also work).
The base system is debian, so you can instal a gui on the server, but this is realy not commendet!
