Proxmox VE: Connection timed out error and failed command

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering an issue with Proxmox Virtual Environment and could use some help. I'm getting the following error message when attempting to connect to a VM's console:

Error: command '/bin/vncviewer -w 10 c/usr/sbin/qm vncproxy 1022/dev/null' failed: exit code 1
Connection: Connection timed out

somebody help me please

Before that though, any reason you are still running PVE 3.1 when that one has been EOL since feb 2017?

Having a quick look around, it might be an SSL-issue [1] that's no longer supported (already back in 2018 of that post)

Also if you want to upgrade, you'll have to do so in steps [2] - [6], there is no direct route, it might even be quicker to backup all your VM's and then re-install at 8 and restoring it.
