Hi,

When Proxmox VE 5 will be released? It's written that it should be released as soon as Stretch is out. Stretch was released on 17/6 if I remember correctly.

Thanks.

I hope PVE 5.0 will be released "when it is ready". As you can see yourself, work on PVE 5.0 is still going on. Ultimately, it only 2 weeks since Debian9 was released. We all want PVE 5.0 asap, but let's be patient...

And still no Cloudinit :(
I'm wondering, how could other people work without instance meta-data/autoconfiguration?
For me it's real pain.

@Rhinox: could you please next time choose to not speak if you don't have real or useful info ;).

Thanks guys for the heads up!

I could easily apply the same to your post, given you left out the most critical part. From the proxmox 5.0 announcement thread:

Q: When do you expect the stable Proxmox VE release?
A: The final Proxmox VE 5.0 will be available as soon as Debian Stretch is stable, and all release critical bugs are fixed (May 2017 or later).

@godlike: I would use VM PXE boot with a preseed file to do the initial VM configuration, and then puppet/ansible later on
