For me the problem still persists:

Happens on both types:
04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection

pve-manager/5.0-9/c7bdd872 (running kernel: 4.10.8-1-pve)

MTU above 1500 isnt working.
Any chance to get the default intel e1000 driver for the 4.10.x Kernel series instead of the Intel originated or kernel from PVE 4.x?

please test pve-kernel-4.10.8-1-pve in version 4.10.8-7 (which just got uploaded to pvetest). it should hopefully fix this issue for the remaining three intel modules (e1000e, igb, ixgbe).
