Proxmox VE 4.2 to VE 4.3 upgrade without subscription

Hello!
What is the correct way to get upgraded form VE 4.2 to VE 4.3 without subscription?
I disabled subscription repository, then i run apt-get update and apt-get upgrade but still on 4.2 version. Does i need to run apt-get dist-upgrade? When i run apt-get dist-upgrade after restart i can not access GUI anymore.

Thank you, it looks like i had some strange 4.2 installation, now everything is upgrading fine.
