Hi,

is there a Problem between the new Management website from proxmox v.2 beta and the Internet Explorer 9.

I have installed a test server with proxmox v.2 beta and when i try to open the management website with my Win7 Client & IE9 i become a blank screen rather than the login screen.

From the same client with the Firefox Browser it´s working.

It isn't that minor if users cannot login! I just installed VE2 RC1 and I cannot login from 32 bit IE8, 32 bit IE9 or 64 bit IE9, I just get a blank screen.

works here.

compare the package list and also clean your browser cache:

Code:
pveversion -v

pve-manager: 2.0-33 (pve-manager/2.0/c598d9e1)
running kernel: 2.6.32-7-pve
proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 2.0-60
pve-kernel-2.6.32-7-pve: 2.6.32-60
lvm2: 2.02.88-2pve1
clvm: 2.02.88-2pve1
corosync-pve: 1.4.1-1
openais-pve: 1.1.4-2
libqb: 0.10.1-2
redhat-cluster-pve: 3.1.8-3
resource-agents-pve: 3.9.2-3
fence-agents-pve: 3.1.7-1
pve-cluster: 1.0-23
qemu-server: 2.0-20
pve-firmware: 1.0-15
libpve-common-perl: 1.0-14
libpve-access-control: 1.0-16
libpve-storage-perl: 2.0-12
vncterm: 1.0-2
vzctl: 3.0.30-2pve1
vzprocps: 2.0.11-2
vzquota: 3.0.12-3
pve-qemu-kvm: 1.0-4
ksm-control-daemon: 1.1-1

Versions are the same.

I cleared the cache on one of my systems (win7 and ie9) and can now get the login screen. I cleared the cache on another system (xp and ie8) but this didn't make any difference, still get a blank screen after the certificate warning.

so ie9 is working also on your side? great. I just tried on an old box ie8 and yes, it does not work.

but ie8 is not really that important and we do not consider this as an high prio bug. I generally does not recommend ie8, on old windows systems firefox or chrome are by far the better choice for me.

Thanks Tom, at least I know not to try

It is going to be restrictive for me, the XP/ie8 system is locked down so I can't add firefox, the win7/ie9 system is a laptop with limited graphics capability.

I don't think that I will be alone with the xp setup. It would be a pity to potentially lose a large audience, proxmox is a fantastic product

There are still some problems. If i am logged in to proxmox with ie9 and then try to map a network drive I am asked for a username and password. For simple sharing this always fails.
when I am logged in with Firefox I cannot get a console session to work, it comes up blank. Console works on ie9 connections.

Hi,

i have just installed a new testserver with the Proxmox V.2 Final and i become a blank screen if I try to use the login page with IE9 from my Win7 x86 Workstation.

Firefox V.11 works fine here.

Will this problem be solved?

works here without problems. win7-64 with latest updates.

Hi,

is there something new because this problem? I have just installed a new proxmox testserver with V2.1 and tested the website access with a win7-32 and win7-64 workstation, on both I became a blank screen after the usual certificate warning message.

works here, make sure you run the latest version, run 'aptitude update && aptitude full-upgrade' and reload the browser (empty cache).

not here, so there is something wrong on your place (all our devs works also on win7-64, besides Debian).

or do you talk about the console? missing java?
