hi,
We upgraded prx upgrade 7 to 8 .
Please check attachment.
Many subnames were created under the interfaces.
Are these used or can we delete them?

Hi,

those altnames are simply alternative names given to the interfaces by the kernel. This is a result of how hardware enumeration works.

See also this guide on how to manage such aliases.
You can e.g. delete them ip l prop del dev eno4 altname <altname>ICODE], but it's rather pointless, as altnames have no impact on normal operation.

Assuming then that this answered your question sufficiently! :)
