I set up a new node today for my cluster. Dell 7050m, ran diags, passed, set all BIOS settings as desired (including Secure Boot) -> Installed Proxmox from flash drive -> updated -> joined cluster -> realized I gave it the wrong IP.
So, in the cluster I kicked the node out, and then, according to instructions I believe I'm supposed to go full Office Space on the BAD computer, but I opted just to wipe it and reinstall from scratch. I used the built in BIOS drive wipe feature which took about 5 seconds, then plugged in the flash drive to reinstall, and when attempting to boot off of it I get a Secure Boot error, then the pc has an absence seizure until I pull the plug.
I tried resetting the TPM, tried changing the SB keys to custom mode, deleting them, restoring keys to defaults, and nothing changes the error or behavior.

From reading here I am gathering that I just have to disable SB. Does anyone know what is causing the issue? Is it fixable?

Thanks

okay, I can now finally reproduce the issue! let me see if I can find an easy way out of that situation..

you need to clear your efi variables (in particular the one with the SBAT policy) - probably the easiest way to achieve that is factory reset in your UEFI firmware. alternatively, disabling secureboot, installing, updating, then installing proxmox-secure-boot-support and re-enabling secure boot should work as well.
