Hi all,
Before I start I want to let you know that I am a noob in linux.
I am running for almost 2 years proxmox on an old Dell Optiplex running multiple VMs nextcloud, owncloud, pi-hole and other LAB machines for learning linux.
Information stored in the VMs is "nice to have data" no really important data, but it will be nice to have them working again. I know that the version of proxmox is old I will make a new installation on another hardware.
After I have rebooted the machine that proxmox is running on, the machine booted, OS is running but all the VMs and the portal are not working.
I have looked through the forum but none of the solutions I have found are not working for me.
Please find below some CLI output.
root@local:~# uname -a
Linux local 4.13.13-2-pve #1 SMP PVE 4.13.13-32 (Thu, 21 Dec 2017 09:02:14 +0100) x86_64 GNU/Linux
root@local:~# service pveproxy status
● pveproxy.service
Loaded: masked (Reason: Unit pveproxy.service is masked.)
Active: inactive (dead)
root@local:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster main contrib
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster-updates main contrib
# security updates
deb http://security.debian.org buster/updates main contrib
# PVE pve-no-subscription repository provided by proxmox.com,
# NOT recommended for production use
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian jessie pve-no-subscription
root@local:~# apt-get install proxmox-ve
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package proxmox-ve is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'proxmox-ve' has no installation candidate
Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue?
Hopefully I have posted in the correct category, if not please move this thread to the correct one.
