proxmox is not showing green onto the network configuration management interface. I have tried all 4 ports

what do you mean with green? Make sure you enter a valid IP for your subnet and the correct gateway, and DNS, in most cases those will be the same. Then continue the installation. If you should have selected an interface that does not have a cable connected, you can just edit

/etc/network/interfaces after the installation to use the correct one.ip a should give you a list of available interfaces, and you should find the one with the cable connected by looking for one that is not marked as DOWN. With ifreload -a you can reload after editing /etc/network/interfaces.Also take a look at [1].
