Proxmox Installation in double HD

Hi Udo,
I have 2 HD with 1.5 TB each one, and working with Raid1.
So, I said previously my ls /dev/sd? is this: /dev/sda /dev/sdb
Hi,
i can only repeat - if you see two drives from the OS you don't have an hardware-raid!

You can also do a "lspci" - you will see a raidcontroller
Code:
proxtest5:~# lspci
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express DRAM Controller (rev 02)
...
07:01.0 RAID bus controller: 3ware Inc 9550SX SATA-II RAID PCI-X
...

Udo

Thanks Udo,
running lspci, I got this:
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 5520/5500/X58 I/O Hub to ESI Port (rev 13)

Hi,
there are no raid controller...

You can use the space of the second disk of course (like i wrote some post ago), but you don't have the benefit (performance and fault-tolerance) of an raid-controller.

Udo

I sow it, I request Hetzner to verify this issue.
I'll come back soon for updating.

Sam

Hi Again.
Thanks again Udo for your time and patient, I wanted to put you a PM, but I think it's better here...

I have the answer from Hetzner, that this device don't include the Raid1 because they don't support officially Proxmox..

So, to cut the time, I'm seeking for someone to give me a quote and do it for us, easer, better and faster... it can't be for free longer...

If anybody are interested in give me a quote to:
1. Setup the Raid software and attach the second hd in the server, fixing both with a raid.
2. Setup the IpTables in the server.
3. By the way, in the log I have this message: "rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="3.18.6" x-pid="6473" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] restart" I don't know if it's necessary to fix the rsyslog issue, if yes, we have to do it also.

The server are fully in production now, so no experimentation tolerance!

I keep waiting to hear news,

Regards,
