Good afternoon!
I apologize in advance that I am not writing in the subject - but the question is very important for developers of the proxmox virtualization system.
my name is Aleksey. I work as a system administrator in Russia.
I recently discovered a Russian company Utinet, which steals proxmox virtualization products and passes them off as its own, and receives commercial benefits and income from this.
This is very sad and a violation of international rules and software patents.
I never thought that my country was capable of such a thing.
I have been administering linux virtual servers for a very long time and have been using such a wonderful proxmox virtualization system for a long time.
But I feel very bad when the free and wonderful proxmox system starts to be stolen and this happens in my country.
Here are the links to the products of these crooks: UTINET GLOVIRT: https://utinet.ru/soft/utinet-glovirt/
UTINET BACKDAT: https://utinet.ru/soft/utinet-backdat/

P.S. I understand that it is not in your power to influence them. But you can forbid them to download your free products and thereby stop the theft of your products by Russian companies.

I officially declare that Utinet is stealing proxmox software!!!

Yes,this probably is AGPLv3 violation, since they are offering it as a service, and i don't see proxmox trademark anywhere

Я думаю не взлетит у них "продукт". Все поймут че к чему, ну кроме тех кто хочет остаться на нормальной платформе но при этом соответствовать законодательству.
Как появился так и помрет.

I speak and write cyrilic(Serbian not Russian) so can you translate that to english.
There is no stealing in opensource, since it is open, there is only trademark violation, and similar things

Google Translator:
I think their "product" will not take off. Everyone will understand why, well, except for those who want to stay on a normal platform but at the same time comply with the law.
As it appeared, so it will die.

Over the past 7-8 years, I have seen many similar "projects".
It's simple, take an open source product, add a small rebranding and sell it to government agencies.

But this does not work, all offices are closed due to lack of demand for 1 year maximum. Those who really need to change the product - choose industrial solutions.

Yes, I agree in part, people who have not worked and have not heard about the original VM system proxmox will mostly be led to such bait

I'm relative sure that the Proxmox Staff has already seen this thread, but my inner Monk gave me no rest, therefore a kindly ping only to be sure: @martin @t.lamprecht

Hope this is okay with such an delicate topic.

I mean i don;t know what you do you want from proxmox, since they are based in Austria, and Austria have sanctions on Russia. There is now way, anything can happen.

I am reading this post and I am ashamed of my colleagues from Russia.
Worth a read: http://licenseit.ru/wiki/index.php/GNU_Affero_General_Public_License_version_3
As far as I know, the guys provide sources for modifications and, accordingly, contribute to the development of proxmox, and you accuse them of something, which is strange.
It will be funny when you download the distribution for free in the future and use it, knowing about the contribution to the development of this "project"))).
Instead of such posts, they would also do something useful for the community.
Here you have the same "projects":
