Proxmox high memory usage

Solved: It is apparently normal as PVE caches the virtual machine's data in memory. I now use LXC containers and the memory issue has been resolved.

Hi, I am running 6.2-4 and one ubuntu 20.04 server vm. Pve reports that the vm uses 775mib of ram on idle, but it reports that the node is at 3.65 gib of use. I have 16gb ecc ram and a 4c8t cpu. Please ask questions. Thanks.

Depends on the guest OS. Just that the guest reports that is only uses a portion of the ram does not mean that it hasn't used the data before.
