Hi all as the title suggest. when i have a user send an email via outlook there is nothing on the email when an external email address gets it.

however when i send the same email in zimbra webmail it does apply.

i have done the basic troubleshooting. checked all the outlook profile changed that etc still no joy.

replicates on all issues for all internal users.

this disclaimer html is on a action group that triggers when X domain sends external.

:( anyone had this or know where i should be looking next?

ta

things that might help in finding the cause:
* the logs from PMG for both - the unsuccessful mail sent via Outlook, and the successful mail from zimbra's webmail.
* the headers of both mails (could help find an issue with encoding)

I hope this helps!

where do i find the pmg logs ?
* the tracking center in the GUI (GUI->Administration->Tracking Center)
* the system's journal (`journalctl -b` - see `man journalctl` for how to limit the timespan)
* the system's syslog/maillog - /var/log/syslog*, /var/log/mail.log*

Could you please provide the complete log of such a message - it would really help in getting a better picture at what is going on...

also please include the text of the disclaimer as you've added it to the Action object.

additionally:
* the headers of both mails (could help find an issue with encoding)

this is one you can see that has failed and been sent via outlook on the rds server

also please include the text of the disclaimer as you've added it to the Action object.
and the headers of the two mails

I think that the disclaimer cannot be added due to different encodings used by the two mail-clients (or different structure of the mime-types of the message)

the disclaimer has worked in the past, its just suddenly decided to not work. so this wouldn't make sense. as nothing with the disclaimer has changed.

its just html text (the disclaimer)

I've been working with the OP on this and it turns out that the problem was with a rogue apostrophe character in the HTML.
This text in the disclaimer:
Code:
A list of members'
actually appeared like this in the source:
Code:
A list of members’

Replaced that character and all now good.

I have problem sending from Outlook it just doesn't add anything in the footer.

I don't have special characters, the error in the logs is the same as above.

Could you help me?
