Good day
I'm trying to do a single file restore but when trying to open Part 2 i get this error

proxmox-file-restore failed: Error: mounting 'drive-scsi0.img.fidx/part/["2"]' failed: all mounts failed or no supported file system (500)

The machine is a CentOS

Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/centos_XXXX-root ext4 188G 65G 115G 37% /

As I understand EXT4 should be supported for File restore

Pbackup Server 1.1-13
Proxmox Backup Client 1.1-10
Proxmox VE 6.4-8
VM Storage CEPH Cluster

Please let me know how I could fix this issue

Looks like your VM is using ext4 with LVM.

LVM is supported in current version only, so you need to upgrade your Proxmox Backup Server 1.x to current 2.x.

Thank you for the quick fallow up
I have updated the promox backup server to 2.0-12
I have done a new backup of the same VM after the proxmox backup server update
I still have the same error when trying to do file restore
I have tryed directly from the VM/ BACKUP and from the storage Backup
Both place give the same error

Do I need to also update the Proxmox backup client after the server upgrade ?

I have the same problem with a backup of a Proxmox Cluster vm using Debian and ext4 filesystem. Beeing also on last version of PBS.

Seems I posted wrong instructions, sorry.

LVM restore is a function of Proxmox VE 7.x (and works with Proxmox Backup Server 1.x and 2.x).

So you need to upgrade Proxmox VE 6.x to 7.x
