Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a new node with a T5820 and have had no issues up until this point. The node has 2x 256GB drives in RAID1 for boot (on a PCIe card, 1 NVMe over PCIE and 1 connected by SATA cable), 2x 500GB SATA drives for a VMpool in RAID1l, and will eventually have 2x platter drives for storage in RAID1.
I noticed recently when trying to view disks, it errors out with "communication failure 0" I've seen a bunch of posts on this and I've tried some suggested remedies, but nothing seems to fix it. I was able to access the Disks page before, so I'm not sure what's changed.
I tried commenting out DEVICESCAN as suggested here, because I read that it could be timing out trying to get SMART data: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/p...unication-failure-–-smart-query-issue.162907/
I've also confirmed Virtualization options are enabled in BIOS. I don't have any USB devices plugged in besides kb/m (this seemed to be the major cause, usb to SATA connectors):
Is my setup of having my boot drive(s) on a PCIe card causing the issue? As I said before, it's a bit strange because I was able to access the drives initially to initialize, wipe, and RAID them. They show up fine in lsblk, the pools appear when I go to create a VM, etc. Sort of at a loss, but I'll need access to the Disks page when I install my new storage drives, so I am just trying to get a jump on this.
Cheers!
