Install and am using Proxmox on machines with AMD processors
the truth that is very good

I am now trying to install on a machine that has mother

mother msi h55m p31
procesador intel i3 550
CD-rom sata III

When trying to install Proxmox cd fails to mount cd

When trying to install debian 5.03, also comes to the part of
cd mount
and gives the legend "no common CD-ROM was detected"

My question someone can install on a machine with Proxmox
those characteristics
crtol + alt + f2
ls -l /dev/hd /dev/sd /dev/sc (empty)
ls -l cdrom (empty)
lsmod |grep cd
chci_hcd 35980

Clarifies setle mather compatible with ide.
How to charge driver ?
Any idea. What to do?

try installing from a external USB CD-Rom.

which ISO version do you use?

I use netinstall iso, debian 5.04
When probe instal by usb , failed too.

To clarify:
You try to boot from internal and USB-CD-drive? Proxmox-CD and Debian Installer CD?
Both fail to boot? Every boot cd fails to boot?
Sounds like bios settings.
Try to reset bios to default settings.

1) When I try to install from CD Promox.
The installer starts, but stops at the party
mount the cd.
When I try to install from Debian 5 netinstall cd , the
Installation starts but stops when it is
try mount the cd. get error " no common CD-ROM was detected"

2) When I try to install from UBS, starts the
installation, but upon recognizing disk
partition and installation, only sees the USB disck, no
recognizes the hard drive.

holla,

it might be that your hardware is not compatible with debian lenny.
You better try to get help from some debian forum. Did you try sqeeze?

Hi,
if you have an old PATA-CDRom-Drive, you can connect this one to the motherboard and try it again.
If proxmox don't recognize your hdd you can perhaps try another BIOS-config for sata.

Install the system from debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso.
I had no problem acknowledged all devices and successfully mounted the cd-rom,
Then change / etc / apt / sources.list, delete testing repositories and set lenny repositories
, and those indicating by Proxmox.
Then generate the menu list with update-grub
For now it works,
I do not know if the right thing.
