Proxmox concurrent vms limit through API

Hi All,

I have a question about API. How many virtual machines can be created concurrently through proxmox API?

If I want to provision 100,200,300 and also 500 vms in the same time, then I hope there should not be any issues.


I saw related forums however I like to reconfirm once.

May I ask why you need to create that many VMs at the same time? Overall it should work. Not sure if there are many people here with experience when it comes to creating several hundred VMs in a short time. If you can, go ahead and test it on your hardware

This is related to application testing so multiple vms are required through api.

One doubt. Please help if possible.

When i create a new VM or bulk VMs ,I used to monitor here. I see write latency is high.

rbd perf image iostat
rbd perf image iotop

What is the accepted write latency, read latency, WR, RD?
What is the commit and approved latncy on "ceph osd perf" ?

I did see the other thread with that question and did not answer because I cannot. What is accepted is nothing that is set in stone. If you are not happy with it, you can try to improve the storage stack if possible.
