Hi good people. We have a bunch of hardware (a little old) - 4x servers with dual xeon E5 2667-V3, 2 LSI SAS 6160 switches, and one Supermicro JBOD SC837 (12x SSD 2TB, 18x HDD 8TB). Each server has 40 Gbps ethernet, and we have 2x mellanox 40Gbps switches. Nice hardware. Old sysadmin planned to install Windows Server 2012 with Storage spaces, but i want to get Proxmox support and build proxmox cluster with this hardware. Maybe someone has ideas how to build cluster on this bunch of hardware using JBOD as shared storage.
I think i can use HA-LVM over the JBOD, or CEPH after dedicating SSD and HDD to each server. 40Gbps net must be capable to process CEPH, Proxmox cluster and Virtual machines traffic.
Maybe someone can propose better variant? GlusterFS ... I seems can't find ready builds for this situation.
Thx.
