[SOLVED] Proxmox Backup Server Installation Issues – HP Microserver Gen8

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting Proxmox Backup Server (PBS) to boot on my HP Microserver Gen8. The installation completes successfully, but the system doesn’t detect the OS. After booting, I see a blinking cursor, and after a few minutes, the system restarts.

• Storage controller: Set to AHCI mode (was previously hardware RAID, but I removed the RAID controller).
• Disks: Fully formatted (0 rewrites using RedKey USB).
• Other OS tests: Tried Ubuntu and Debian – same issue (installs fine but doesn’t boot).

Any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it?

After a few hours of researching i finally fixed it with: https://www.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/15zfri8/hp_microserver_gen_8_boot_from_odd_in_ahci/ a little bit of help with an sd-card and you can boot from ood slot, hpe didn´t want anyone to boot from here in ahci i guess...
