Proxmox backup server can backup multi cluster ?

Hello,

I have question about proxmox backup server.

Can a single datastore in proxmox backup server backup 2 Cluster proxmox or more ?

No. You need to use a different datastore for each cluster (or make sure you do not use the same VM/CT IDs on different clusters).

Wait. I thought this was something that was on the roadmap. I'm assuming that this is still the case ?
 
I get it now.

In our case we have a large ZFS pool, therefore we could create multiple datastores backed by the ZFS to server multiple clusters. (Because each store has it's own filespace.)

pool/store1 --> Cluster Red
pool/store2 --> Cluster Blue

But you can't do pool/store1 --> Cluster Red and Blue... Unless you for sure don't have a clash of VM/CT IDs.

yes, a "namespace" feature that allows sharing a single datastore including the chunk store across multiple backup ID namespaces (e.g., one per PVE cluster) is still planned/in the works ;)
