Hi all,

I have been to backup storage and set it for max 30 copies..

As fare as i have read this means no more than 30 backups will be taken per vm..

I made a schdule too and it works prefectly.. my only concern is that when i go to one of the vms that i add to the backup schdule i see WAY more backup entries than 30.. have i done something wrong?

THANKS

Casper

Be sure those backup entries are for that VMID.
When you go to a specific VM and click the "Backup Tab", you will have a drop down of all your possible Backup Storages available in the top right corner of the tabbed windows.
Once you select a backup repository, all of your backups from all VM's are listed. The VMID is the only way to tell the difference.

Raymond,

im a moron.. i realized that too and came on here to post the same :)

another small question.. i hope..

The syntax under the backup tap is this..

"vzdump-qemu-102-2014_06_04-21_00_01.vma.lzo

so -102- is my vmid
"-2013_06_04_21_00" must be that date and time

but the last "_01" what is that? the next entry ends with _02.. is that to show me what rotation the backup is from? and by rotation i mean its from the former 30 backup entries.. and 02 is the new 30 backup entries?
