In this case, the user uses `ipip` tunnel, where the `address` field cannot be deserialized as it uses `MacAddress` type:

I'm working with a PBS on version 4.0.14 (Kernel 6.14.11-1-pve). Nearly every night I see that the "proxmox-backup-proxy" services oddly stops working. The log does not show any problems.

On my PVE Cluster the backup didn't fail, it just waited for an answer of the PBS since 01:17 o'clock. At 9:11 o'clock I restarted the proxmox-backup-proxy service an the backup on the pve continued (2-3 backups failed but the process itself didn't). I do not use any tailscale or other networking around the pbs. The pve communicates directly in a normal vlan with the pbs. Not sure where to look and diagnose this issue. The s3 seems to work normally except the one 503 bad gateway but not sure if this is related to the tech-preview s3 implementation.

]That doesn't seem to be related to the initial issue, would you mind opening a new thread for organizing purposes? Can you post a log of a failed backup from the PVE side? Are there any suspicious entries in the journal of the PVE?
A fix for the hanging proxmox-backup-proxy on backup task log upload to s3 backends has already been applied in git and will be inclueded in proxmox-backup-server v4.0.15.
