Proxmox Backup Client Uninstallable on latest Ubuntu

Both me and a coworker are getting the following error when attempting to install proxmox-backup-client on the latest version of Ubuntu:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
proxmox-backup-client : Depends: libzstd1 (>= 1.5.2) but 1.4.8+dfsg-3build1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Any idea on how to best resolve this package version discrepancy? Our attempts resulted in a broken machine.

I just did this today on a Linux Mint 21.1 machine (Ubuntu 22.04 based). My solution here:
