Hi all,

I'm a newbie with proxmox.
no problem to install proxmox 3.1 itself.
I try now to create a Windows 7 64 bits VM.
During the windows install, it asks me CD/DVD drivers ("CD/DVD drivers are missing").
However I boot the VM using a Windows iso file.
I google this afternoon without finding anything :-(
any help would be appreciate !
thanks
Bruno

it could be that win7 does not understand IDE cd drives (see http://www.techhelpfox.com/10961956/Cause-Of-The-Missing-Cddvd-Drivers-Issue? and similar)

try adding a sata cd for the install iso, instead of the default IDE. Youcan remove it and readd as SATA...

thanks for your answer.
I already try this during the afternoon but
I just tried again to be sure and I got the same error/message :
"a required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. if you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now."

another idea ?
Thanks

looks like a corrupted iso image.

[SOLVED] Re: proxmox and windows 7 64 bits

Yah, I boot and install from a Windows 7 Pro 64bit ISO with no issues or requirements for drivers. Using a IDE hard disk and a Intel E1000 network card.

you were right ! I change the DVD and it's ok.
Thanks a lot for your quick answers.
