Proxmox 6.1 and in kernel drbd (8.4.11) and distribution drbd-utils (9.5.0.1)

I upgraded a customer from 5.4.1 cluster two nodes and DRBD (stock opensource drbd not Linbit subscription)

In September i did a test installation with 3 VM and proxmox 5.4 to 6.0) and all well done

Now i upgraded production system (i had to wait ok from customer damn it ...) and with kernel 5.3.13
alway get error
drbdsetup-84 new resource .... exit 20

i googoled an d i discover that there is a bug in kernel after 5.1.X
i installed from /var/cache/apt .... of test VM kernel 5.0.21-5 and i fix it

But now i'm stuck on this version and i cannot do next upgrades
i think that this it shoult fixed

DRBD is supported through Linbit. Best head over to them, they sure can help you.

I have the exact same issue. This makes Proxmox 6, Debian 10 and DRBD completely incompatible. Unfortunately Proxmox 6 depends on Debian 10. There seems to be an patch for Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/drbd-utils/+bug/1866458

Maybe you can contact Linbit to backport this patch to Debian 10. I will contact them as well but I think it might get more attention if an Proxmox official does the same.

Just follow the Linbit docs (and support), I am not aware of any "complete incompatibility" here.
