[SOLVED] Proxmox 5 to 6 upgrade

Hi Team,

I have a server with proxmox 5 installed and when I am trying to do the prechecks to update to version 6 it fails with the following error :

FAIL: proxmox-ve package is too old, please upgrade to >= 5.4-2!

i see: proxmox-ve: not correctly installed (running kernel: 4.4.98-2-pve)

so it looks like something isn't installed properly, and that's why it's complaining.

can you show your apt lists? find /etc/apt -name '*.list' -exec cat {} \;
