I'm trying to setup another PVE on an old Intel S5500BC with an SSD and a couple of SATA drives connected to the onboard SATA (AHCI mode in BIOS)
The Mainboard BIOS is the last available from 2014.
I'm trying to setup proxmox on the SSD and the data will be located on an zfs pool on the 4 6TB SATA drives. So I'm selecting the SSD and ext4 during installation progress and all runs smoothely up to the point where grub is installed. Then it hangs the whole machine freezes (even keyboard and mouse)

I did the same a second time and this time I changed to the log view before grub setup. Again the machine stopped and the last lines are shown in the screenshot here

After trying several things including a BIOS defaults reset I fixed it using a debian 9 netinst cd and repairing grub manually
