Danke an alle Beteiligten

Grüße

Yes - thank you Proxmox team. One of the most and outstandingly flawless and trouble-free major upgrades of any HCI cluster (3-node CEPH setup) I've ever been able to pass through. I directly compare it to my awful upgrade sessions with ovirt/gluster in the past e.g., which had caused me a lot of sleepless nights.

The only thing one could miss is kind of a one-click cluster upgrade, which for sure is not an easy thing to develop, as several things must be taken into consideration - like CPU-pinned VMs, passed-through devices etc. But who knows, one day..

Btw, other (really expensive) products providing one-click-upgrade have solved the "CPU pinned VM problem" in a very simple way - before upgrading the cluster, an alert-window pops up: "Please shutdown all CPU-pinned VMs, as these cannot be rebalanced to other nodes!" ;)

So as a consequence, CPU-pinned VMs are by policy not allowed in some environments.
