proxmox 4.1 upgrade 4.2

i setup new node with 4.2, i noted that storage have local in type lvm and local-lvm in type lvm-thin.

Now i need to upgrade another machine from 4.1 to 4.2 my storage change during upgrade??

how the real advantage to user lvm-thin now?
possible migrate lvm in lvm-thin with data in lvm partition in a second moment?

no, and update dies not change/touch existing storage.

lvmthin supports snapshots and clones naively.

Easiest solution would be to migrate the VMs to the new storage. You should also consider zeroing the free space inside each VM for better usage of thin provisioning.
